Formula 1: Systems at Speed
A visual exploration of Formula 1 as an interconnected system of engineering, competition, strategy, technology, and human performance.
Description
Formula 1: Systems at Speed explores Formula 1 beyond the race itself, examining the complex systems that make modern motorsport possible. The project looks at the relationship between vehicle engineering, aerodynamics, data, strategy, teamwork, regulation, and human performance.
Purpose
To explore Formula 1 as a living example of complex systems working together under extreme constraints, while making the engineering and human elements of the sport accessible through visual storytelling.
Process
The project develops through research, visual analysis, motorsport observation, and exploration of engineering and systems concepts. Race events, technical developments, team strategies, and human decisions provide material for examining how individual components interact within a much larger system.
